Our Mission Is:
To restore and improve the management of wetlands across the Murray and Darling Rivers and other inland river catchments, through ecologically based programs with community involvement and understanding.
The Murray-Darling Basin covers 1,061,469 square kilometres or approximately one-seventh (14%) of the total area of Australia (7,692,024 square kilometres).
It has an important place in the cultural heritage of all Australians and includes many significant natural heritage features.
